West South Avenue has reopened to traffic following a semi crash Thursday morning.
The accident occurred between Prairie Street and the Emporia-Lyon County Transfer Station shortly after 8:30 am. The semi was taking a wind turbine base from the west Emporia railyard to South Dakota. Early indications are the semi had a parking brake failure before it rolled out of a storage area into a ditch.
No injuries have been reported.
