Lyon County residents needing to renew driver’s licenses can now do so through the office at Flinthills Mall.
Residents need to set an appointment for office visits by calling 342-5146. The Kansas Department of Revenue says all visitors need to complete — and pass — a COVID-19 screen. Speaking of coronavirus, the Revenue Department is encouraging online renewals through www.ikan.ks.gov or through the iKan mobile app.
Payments by credit or debit cards are preferred instead of cash. License renewals will be processed but testing will not due to social distance requirements.
People late on their renewals still have a 60-day grace period from when the current state of emergency declaration ends. Currently, the emergency disaster ends June 15 but could be extended.
More information is available online at www.ksrevenue.org/reopening.html. The Revenue Department says questions about vehicle registrations should go to your county treasurer’s office.
