Pandemic-related unemployment benefits should be heading to bank accounts across Kansas either Thursday or Friday.
The Kansas Department of Labor says Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and the $600 Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation checks were processed this week, with the FPUC money added to the PUA weekly benefit. Combined with regular unemployment payments, The Labor Department says it has processed over $107 million in assistance.
Claimants who were issued new debit cards should see those next week.
The Department of Labor says it is still reviewing around 24,000 PUA applications to see if those requesting funds are eligible for the program.
