Heavy rainfall forecasted through the remainder of the Memorial Day weekend is bringing another chance of flooding to the KVOE listening area.
Lyon, Morris and Wabaunsee counties have been placed into a flash flood watch until 7 pm Monday evening. Chase and Greenwood counties are in a separate watch also until 7 pm Monday evening.
The current forecast calls for several rounds of thunderstorms to begin developing Sunday afternoon which could produce between one to three inches of rainfall with higher amounts possible in some areas. This follows heavy rainfall which impacted the area for much of the morning hours Friday which brought nearly two inches of rainfall to some portions of the KVOE listening area.
