Emporia city and Lyon County commissioners don’t have long agendas for their upcoming meetings, but they have some important business to address.
City commissioners meet at 7 pm Wednesday night with an operating agreement with the Emporia recreation Commission for the Jones Aquatic Complex on the table. City Manager Mark McAnarney will also update city activities and three executive sessions are planned.
Lyon County commissioners meet at 9 am Thursday with Judge Merlin Wheeler returning to continue his discussion from last week on screening courthouse patrons and transitioning to public court proceedings instead of the current model of using Zoom for most hearings.
