Sunday marks the start of the White Ribbon campaign, courtesy of Newman Regional Health and Emporia Main Street. The campaign goes through Saturday.
Main Street Community Relations Director Jessica Buchholz says this is the latest collaboration involving Main Street and Newman Regional Health, including getting community members to make cloth masks and mask covers for hospital staff and serving as an information portal.
Newman Regional Health Business Development Manager McKenzie Cinelli says there are several ways people can take part.
People can go to the Emporia Main Street website, www.emporiamainstreet.com, to download and print a ribbon image or for more information about the program. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Greater Emporia Area Disaster Relief Fund.
