Emporia Police have arrested two people after reports of shots fired into a home in southwest Emporia on Monday.
Police Sgt. Lisa Sage says officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Sunnyslope around 1 pm and determined shots were fired into a house in that block. There is currently no word on whether anybody was inside at the time of the incident, but nobody was hurt.
19-year-old Chaska Lacey of Lebo was arrested on suspicion of criminal discharge of a firearm and contributing to a child’s misconduct. A 15-year-old juvenile was also arrested on suspicion of criminal discharge of a firearm. Formal charges in the case are pending.
