A semi crash forced a traffic detour in west Emporia on Wednesday.
Nobody was hurt when the APAC semi tipped over on the US Highway 50 roundabout connecting the highway to Interstate 35 and the Kansas Turnpike around 10:30 am. However, eastbound traffic had to be detoured for close to two hours while the semi was uprighted and its load of sand was cleared from the scene.
Eastbound traffic had to be detoured north on Americus Road to 30th and then east to Graphic Arts to get around the wreck site. Westbound traffic was unaffected.
