The Phase One recovery process for the coronavirus pandemic means a gradual return to normal operations for local government operations in addition to businesses.
Osage County says it is reopening its courthouse to the public Tuesday. Residents are encouraged to call departments ahead of time because some of the departments are asking for appointment times. Deputies will keep screening people as they enter.
Courthouses in Chase and Coffey counties have been open by appointment only, and that trend continues at this time. Greenwood County has all its employees back to work but will remain closed to the public until at least May 18.
The Lyon County Courthouse has had restricted access since the pandemic began, and that continues until further notice. The county encourages people to call the different departments they need, either for help or to set up an appointment.
