Thunderstorms are a good bet for Lyon and surrounding counties Tuesday afternoon. A low-end severe weather risk is part of the forecast.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a marginal to slight risk areawide, with areas just south and east of the Kansas Turnpike in the slight risk. All severe weather hazards are possible, but the main concern is winds as high as 60 mph.
Storms should move into the KVOE listening area by early to mid-afternoon. Shower and storm activity may linger into the evening hours, but the best chance for overall storms and severe weather is after noon.
