One new positive COVID-19 test has been confirmed by Lyon County Public Health in its daily report Sunday.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Lyon County to 177. Six new recoveries are also being reported putting the county’s total of active cases at 155.
Last week the county saw a total of 105 new confirmed positive cases with 75 reported between Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday saw the largest single-day increase since testing began with 27.
The county has had one death related to COVID-19 so far which occurred last Sunday. No fatalities have been reported since.
Lyon County did not conduct any rapid testing Saturday or Sunday. Rapid testing will resume Monday.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is reporting 3,174 total confirmed cases, an increase of 118 since Saturday, with 118 deaths an increase of one from Saturday.
