Lyon County Public Health reported a quiet end to an active week of COVID-19 test results.
On Saturday, Public Health announced two confirmed positive tests. The county’s overall total now is 176 confirmed positives, with 161 currently active.
For the week, Lyon County had 105 positive tests, including 75 between Tuesday and Thursday. The county’s only death related to coronavirus came April 19.
Public Health did not conduct any rapid-response testing Saturday and will not have any of the rapid tests Sunday.
Reports from neighboring counties are pending.
Statewide, there are now 3,056 confirmed positive cases and 117 deaths due to coronavirus. There are over 22,000 negative tests in Kansas, putting the infection rate at just under 14 percent and the fatality rate at less than one percent.
