For the Emporia State tennis teams this would have been MIAA Conference Championship week.
The men would have played Monday and Tuesday. The womens tournament would have been played beginning Friday.
Emporia State Head Tennis Coach Les Stafford said having the season cancelled left an empty feeling.
The men were 3-3 and the women were 2-3 when the season was halted. Coach Stafford said he was seeing improvement.
Adding to the challenges once the season was cancelled, 11 of the 15 Emporia State tennis players are International. Coach Stafford said most have remained in Emporia.
All will have to wait for the fall to resume practices.
