Lyon County Public Health is reporting its largest 1 day increase with 27 new positive COVID-19 tests in Tuesdays update.
14 of the tests were conducted at Newman Regional Health and 13 by Lyon County Public Health. The 13 conducted by LCPH are associated with the Tyson cluster. There are now 48 cases reported at Tyson.
There were no increases at Simmons foods, Hostess, Detroit Diesel, or Heritage Pentacostal Church.
The 27 positive tests increases the total number of positive tests to 110 since testing started.
There is also 1 new probable positive for 22 total probable positives since testing started.
That increases the total number of cases to 132 in Lyon County.
2 new recoveries are also being reported for 33 recoveries.
There are now 98 active cases in Lyon County.
Greenwood County is reporting its third COVID-19 positive test.
The patient is identified as a female between the ages of 60-70 that has recently traveled within Kansas.
Wabaunsee County reported its second positive case. They are also reporting the first case has recovered.
Osage County is reporting that a 4th person has recovered. Osage County is now reporting no positive COVID-19 cases.
Chase and Morris County reported no new cases.
Coffey County will up date their numbers Wednesday afternoon.
Kansas Department of Health and Environment is reporting 2025 positive cases, an increase of 39 from Monday, with 107 deaths.
