Last week, the Kansas Corporation Commission announced utility disconnections for nonpayment were suspended until May 15. 4Rivers Electric is going beyond that.
General Manager and CEO Dennis Svanes says the company’s moratorium now extends to May 31. If customers fall behind on their bills, Svanes encouraged them to call 620-364-2116 or 800-748-7395 to discuss payment options. Customers have several payment options, including phone, automatic withdrawals, online or mobile app and drop box locations in Emporia or BETO Junction.
Evergy announced last week it was suspending disconnects for nonpayments until June 1.
