The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently recommended that any person over the age of two wear a face mask when out in public.
With shortages of masks across the country, there has been an increase in local programs searching for homemade masks.
On Wednesday, the Morris County Health Department started a campaign called Masking Morris, and Chase County Health Department started its campaign Covering Chase. Both campaigns ask for donations of homemade masks to help community members who may not have access to a mask.
If you are a resident of Morris County and are looking to get a mask, or donate masks, contact the Morris County Health Department at 767-6811 ext 152.
If you are a resident of Chase County and are looking to get a mask, or donate masks, contact the Chase County Health Department at 237-6377.
