(ku/ap) University of Kansas Sophomore guard Devon Dotson has declared for the NBA draft.
Dotson participated in the NBA combine last summer before returning to school. In a video statement he said this time he intends to sign with an agent and remain in the draft.
Dotson said his two years at Kansas were what he was promised.
Dotson was a Consensus All-American Second Team and Wooden Award All-American, he led the Big 12 in scoring at 18.1 ppg, steals 2.1 and free throws made 142.
Kansas owned the No. 1 ranking, in both the AP and USAToday Coaches polls, when the season was halted March 11 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Jayhawks were likely to receive the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament.
