Trolley House Distillery is in the process of ramping up its production of hand sanitizer.
The distillery started bottling sanitizer over the weekend after having to shut down production April 2. Owner Josh Williams says supplies ran low with bulk alcohol selling out nationwide and extremely high demand locally. He also says production would have started several days earlier, but an order fell through, delaying the restart.
Trolley House made roughly 70 gallons of sanitizer between March 28 and April 2, all of which was either donated to local healthcare professionals or sold. The company’s wait list is now over 100 clients.
Trolley House was in the early production of its first alcoholic beverages when it changed direction to meet the local demand for sanitizer.
