Now that spring graduation is no longer on the table for Emporia State students, plans are now setting up for how to honor those students eligible for degrees.
On the ESU Buzz, President Allison Garrett said Emporia State’s plan is to invite spring commencement candidates to take part in the winter commencement exercises in December.
There will also be a social media celebration on the actual spring commencement date next month.
Garrett says distance learning continues to go well. She thanked faculty members and students for what they have done on the education side. She also credited technology staffers, saying there could be some special technology needs over the next few weeks but — by and large — the IT department did well in making things go as smoothly as they have.
