Four new cases and two recoveries have been reported in Coffey County.
The Coffey County Health Department announced Monday it had confirmed four new positive COVID-19 cases. The new cases involve a 60-year-old female, a 76-year-old female, a 67-year-old female and a 48-year-old male.
This brings the total number of positive cases in the county to 32 all of which are connected to Life Care Center in Burlington. A total of 41 cases of coronavirus have been connected to the same center.
Meanwhile, two individuals have been reported to have recovered from coronavirus. The individuals are a 20-year-old female and a 40-year-old female. The health department considers an individual to be recovered from COVID-19 when daily checks meet certain criteria including the individual being fever free for 72 hours without the assistance of fever-reducing medication with a significant improvement in symptoms.
