From birth to age five is the most important time for your child’s brain development.
That’s why the month of April is dubbed the month of the young child. It is a time for parents across America to focus on their child’s learning and development.
But due to the COVID-19 epidemic, some parents may find it difficult to find activities to do with their child. That’s why some local child development experts have come together to create the month of the young child activity calendar.
KVOE spoke with Bev Long of the Kansas Children’s Service League about the importance of this month-long focus, and how these activities not only benefit the child but families as a whole.
Co-Creator of the calendar, Patricia Saenz-Reyes, says these activities are meant to be accessible to all families, and shouldn’t be limited to one ethnicity group.
