The Emporia Recreation Commission has announced there will be no spring soccer season this year due to COVID-19.
This includes all leagues for ages four to sixth grade and the micro-soccer clinics. Refunds for those who had registered for the season will be issued beginning Monday.
The ERC asks that residents please be patient as the refund process may take some time to get through as it is “completely manual.” At this time the fall soccer season is still on as planned.
Additionally, the Recreation Commission is extending early bird registration for the 2020 baseball and softball season for third through tenth graders. The commission says it is “remaining optimistic” about the season and are hoping to begin on a delayed schedule.
