A Coffey County man was arrested after a trauma call in Hartford on Friday evening.
Deputy Nathan Rankin says 28-year-old Robert Thomas Smith of Gridley is currently housed at the Lyon County Detention Center on suspicion of aggravated battery.
Deputies, Empora/Lyon County EMS and Hartford first responders were dispatched to Hartford One Stop at 108 East Plumb shortly after 7 pm Friday after a reported fight. Hartford resident Zachary Stephenson, 28, suffered a head injury during the incident. He was transported by ambulance to Newman Regional health and later transferred to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. His condition is unknown.
Deputies have not said what may have led to the alleged fight. Formal charges are currently pending.
