The number of positive coronavirus cases continues to rise in the KVOE listening area, specifically Lyon County.
The most recent update from Lyon County Public Health showed three more residents have tested positive for the disease. This brings the total number of cases in Lyon County to 9, the highest amongst the KVOE listening area at this time.
Three of the positive patients are male while six are female. The average age range of patients is between 51 to 60-years-old.
Five of the nine patients had traveled before showing symptoms, three had not and it is unknown if one of the patients had or had not. The number of positive cases according to Lyon County Public health does differ from numbers recently released by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment as KDHE typically releases their numbers earlier in the day.
