Olpe firefighters took care of a rekindled fire in blustery conditions Saturday.
Firefighters were toned out to the 600 block of Road K-7 on the north side of Olpe Lake around 11 am. A brush pile fire from earlier in the week regenerated, burning up to 10 acres of grass before fire crews got it under control.
Lyon County District 4, Emporia’s rural fire unit, was dispatched as mutual aid and canceled before reaching the fire. There were no injuries and no buildings damaged.
Wind gusts were around 45 mph during the incident.
