Due to public health concerns related to COVID-19, the Emporia Farmers Market will not be holding regular markets on April 4 or April 18.
However, the market will be working with local vendors to produce a limited number of food boxes for purchase. Each box will contain a pound of ground beef, homemade white or wheat bread, a dozen eggs, and a sweet treat.
The market is also working with ECKAN to supply some of these boxes to low-income seniors. Customers can purchase a box to be donated to a senior in need.
Each box costs $25. Pre-orders start on Monday and will run through April 3. Pick up will be April 4 from 9AM-10:30AM outside Waters Hardware.
For more information on pre-orders please call the Emporia Farmers Market at 620-343-6555.
