Blustery conditions in the KVOE listening area are anticipated through the day Saturday.
Wind advisories have been issued for the entire KVOE listening area through the late morning and evening hours Saturday as a result. Lyon, Coffey, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties are in an advisory from 10 am to 8 pm.
Meanwhile, Chase and Greenwood counties have been placed into a separate advisory also from 10 am to 8 pm. Residents should expect high southwest winds between 30-35 mph and gusts possibly as high as 40 to 50 mph.
Drivers should use extra caution and residents should secure outdoor objects such as trash cans and grills to prevent them from being blown around.
