Newman Regional Health is limiting access to certain services as the hospital does what it can to keep people safe from coronavirus.
Hospital administrators are limiting non-essential procedures and services at least through April 12. Some services will be discontinued, including:
*Cardiac Rehab
*Pulmonary function tests
*Diabetes education and rehab
*Nutritional screening and assessments
*Sleep studies
*Orthopedic injections
*Pain Clinic
*All support groups
Other services will continue at provider discretion:
*Mammography
*Nuclear testing
*Stress tests
*Outpatient Infusion Clinic
*Wound Care
*Cardiovascular lab
*Operating
Outpatient therapy services, including speech, occupational and physical, are at Newman Therapy Servics, 1024 West 12th.
Outpatient appointments, including laboratory and radiology, all have uniform visitation restrictions, including one patient allowed in the facility unless patients can’t come alone, one parent allowed with child appointments and all incoming residents will go through a verbal screening.
