Coffey County is now restricting public access to all its buildings.
Commissioners are locking all buildings but are offering “discretionary and restricted access” basis to the offices. Residents needing access to an office in the courthouse must call the appropriate department and then go through a health screening before entering.
Residents are told to mail payments or put them in different dropboxes at the courthouse. Emergency Management Staff will conduct business by phone, email, social media or website messaging.
