Lyon County businesses who have questions about last week’s emergency order for the hospitality industry are encouraged to take part in a special online meeting Tuesday.
Lyon County Public Health has set up a Zoom meeting at 11 am Tuesday. Business owners who want to submit questions ahead of the meeting can email Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jeanine McKenna at jmckenna@emporiakschamber.org or Main Street Director Casey woods at main.street@emporia-kansas.gov. Those questions will be answered at the start of the meeting if they are submitted before noon Monday. Other questions will be answered during the meeting.
On Thursday, Lyon County Public Health issued an emergency order closing restaurants, dining facilities, bars, taverns, clubs and movie theaters. These businesses can stay open for 30 days if they provide carryout, drive-thru, curbside and delivery services to customers, but they have to close for 30 days if they could not offer those options.
