Local school districts are feeling more confident in their efforts to develop new education models amidst the coronavirus pandemic, especially following the announcement of a new Continuous Learning Framework Thursday.
The Education Task Force responsible for outlining the framework issued its findings Thursday morning. The framework has gained a large amount of praise from area superintendents.
This includes USD 253 Superintendent Kevin Case who says the framework confirms district staff have been moving in the right direction the past few weeks.
USD 252 Southern Lyon County Superintendent Mike Argabright says they already have a template in hand regarding new education delivery methods which will go before the district’s leadership team Friday.
Case says as conversations continue within 253, a major focus will be placed on relationships not only between teachers and students but all district stakeholders as well. Additionally, Case says the district is currently working to identify which students and families have limited to no access to internet services as a number of educational items will be moved online. Case asks any district families who currently do not have any internet access or have concerns regarding internet access contact the district immediately at (620) 341-2200.
