The Chase County Sheriff’s Office is making adjustments to account for coronavirus.
Sheriff Richard Dorneker says offender registrations must be done by phone by calling the dispatch unit at 620-273-6313. Reports will be limited to phone calls.
The Sheriff’s Office is also halting vehicle inspections until further notice. Dorneker says that is a popular service with residents from Lyon County, but stopping the inspections will limit office traffic at a time when that step is needed.
Meanwhile, vehicle registrations will be handled by phone and drivers license renewals are now suspended until further notice.
