Sparklight says it is nearing $3 million worth of local improvements to its Internet system over the past five years.
Sparklight started its Gigabit service in Emporia in 2016. Last year, it joined several industry partners in announcing plans to offer 10G technology platforms, which will combine greater capacity with higher speeds, greater reliability and increased security.
President and CEO Julie Laulis says more improvements are coming as the company invests in expanding its fiber network.
Sparklight serves 900,000 residential and business customers in 21 states.
