The USD 253 Emporia Board of Education meets Wednesday night with infrastructure, agreements and contracts on its agenda.
Board members may accept a bid to replace parts of the Emporia High School roof over the auditorium, main gymnasium and pool. An engineering estimate for the work is around $800,000.
In other business:
*Board members could approve administrator contracts through 2021 or 2022, depending on the position
*The board could renew a longstanding memorandum of understanding between the district, Flint Hills Special Education Cooperative and ECKAN Head Start
*Board members will review a cost comparison for RecXtra, the district’s after-school program organized and staffed by the Emporia Recreation Commission
Two executive sessions are planned, one for student matters and one for negotiations.
The meeting starts at 7 pm at Mary Herbert.
