Part of the KVOE listening area is under a low-end severe weather threat by early Wednesday.
A marginal risk for borderline severe hail at 1-inch in diameter and wind gusts up to 58 mph is possible just west and south of Emporia. Storm activity is possible between midnight and sunrise.
Slight chances of rain return Wednesday night and Thursday. The main concern for the weekend is a high probability of rain Friday night followed by a chance of rain and snow Saturday morning.

Severe weather season could be getting underway soon in the KVOE listening area.
There is a slight chance for thunderstorms tonight for Lyon, Coffey, Osage, Wabaunsee, and Morris counties late tonight.
For Chase and Greenwood counties, there is a chance for thunderstorms late tonight and very early Wednesday morning. A few strong to severe storms are possible. Dime to quarter size hail will be the main threat; however, isolated severe wind gusts up to 60 mph cannot be ruled out.
