The Emporia State baseball team out scored Northwest Missouri State 8-6 Sunday to win the series 2 games to 1.
Connor Hurst 2 run home run in the bottom of the 7th broke a 5-5 tie. The Hornets with the win are now 13-7 for the season and 5-1 in MIAA play. They play at Central Oklahoma beginning Friday.
