The number 1 ranked Kansas Jayhawks rolled to a 83-58 win over Oklahoma State Monday night.
Udoka Azubuike was one of five Jayhawks to score in double figures and posted his 12th double-double of the season with his 19 points, 16 rebound performance to help the Jayhawks to their 13th-straight victory. Kansas Coach Bill Self called it an efficient win.
Kansas plays at Kansas State this Saturday.
The Jayhawks have taken over the top spot in both the AP and Coaches College basketball polls.
Baylor is ranked 2nd in both polls.
Gonzaga is ranked 3rd in the AP poll and 4th in the Coaches poll.
Dayton is ranked 4th in the AP poll and 3rd in the Coaches poll.
San Diego State is ranked 5th in both polls.
Out of the Big-12 West Virginia is ranked 20th in the AP poll and 19th in the Coaches poll.
Kansas Center Udoka Azubuike has been named the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the third time in the last five weeks. Azubuike was dominant in KUs win at No. 1 Baylor scoring 23 points and pulling down a career-high 19 rebounds with three blocked shots. The senior center became the first player since 1996-97 to post 20+ points, 15+ rebounds and 3+ blocks against an AP No. 1 team. Earlier in the week, he had 13 points and seven rebounds against Iowa State. Azubuike is the lone player in the Big 12 averaging a double-double with 13.1 ppg and 10.1 rpg.
Tuesday night Kansas State plays at Baylor with tip-off at 7pm. The game will be broadcast on MIX 104.9.
