Trips to state will be on the line beginning Friday for the Emporia High boys wrestling team. They will be competing in the West Regional at Valley Center.
Senior Ethan Garate is looking to make a return trip to state building off his Centennial League Championship.
Freshman Xerarch Tungjaroenkul is also coming off a Centennial League Championship. He is ranked 2nd at 132 pounds in the State. 5 of the top 6 wrestlers at 132 are in the west regional.
The top 8 wrestlers will earn a trip to state.
