A potential gas leak in east Emporia revealed an unrelated infrastructure issue Wednesday evening.
Emporia Fire was dispatched to 1201 Triplett Drive No. C-27 shortly before 7:30 pm after a smell of rotting eggs developed. Battalion Chief Eron Steinlage says there was a broken sewer line. There were no indications of a gas leak after EFD investigated.
