A man from Miller was hurt in a crash in northeast Lyon County early Wednesday, although it took several hours to find him and determine exactly how the crash happened.
Michael Lanzrath, 31, was found about 6:30 am, roughly 1,000 feet from where he crashed on US Highway 56 near the Kansas Turnpike’s Admire-Council Grove exit. A Lyon County ambulance took him to Newman Regional Health for what are being called non-life-threatening injuries.
It took about three hours to find Lanzrath after the initial call of an automobile crash in the 1900 block of US-56 — and during that time, deputies determined crash debris from the wreck involving Lanzrath led to a second crash. Americus resident Audrey Rawlings, 25, was not hurt but her vehicle was disabled.
Deputies say the incident is still under investigation.
