The Emporia High Boys basketball team rallied form 9 points down in the 3rd quarter to defeat Junction City 58-56 Monday night.
Coach Beau Welch called it a big step for his team.
Charles Snyder led the way with a game high 27 points. Beau Baumgardner added 14 points and Skyler Douglas finished with 12 points. The Emporia High boys are now 8-8 for the season.
The Emporia High girls playing without several players were defeated by Junction City 44-35. Coach Carolyn Dorsey was pleased with the effort of the team.

The Lady Spartans played with out Gracie Gilpin and Allie Baker who missed the game for violating team rules.
The Emporia High girls are now 8-8 for the season.
Emporia High plays at Topeka High Tuesday night.
