The Emporia High girls wrestling team is in 2nd place going into day 2 of the West regional tournament.
Trinity Ervin at 191 pounds will be wrestling for a regional title and has earned a trip to state.
Ervin received a first round bye. Won her quarter final match by a fall. She won her semi-final match by fall over Payton Sholander of Douglas. She will face Elisha Robinson of Junction City in the Championship match.
The other 10 Emporia High wrestlers are still in the running for a trip to state. They will need to work their way thru the consolation bracket. The top 6 wrestlers advance to State.
