The Emporia State softball team out scored Lewis 6-5 in their final game of the Mankato Dome Classic Sunday.
The Lady Hornets scored 2 runs in the 3rd inning, added 3 runs in the 5th and a run in the 7th. Rachel Kauss was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Hannah Steeby hit a solo home run in the 7th.
The Lady Hornets were 2 and 3 in the Dome Classic. They are scheduled to play in the Alvy Early Classic in Bentonville, Arkansas Friday and Saturday.
