Pancakes flew off the griddle Saturday as Troop 157 B and 157G hosted their annual pancake feed.
Troop 157 committee leader Leon Bryson says events, such as Saturday’s, provides troop members with skills which will continue to aid them far after their time in Scouts.
Troop 157B member Leonel Carlson says being a Scout the past five years has helped shape him into who he is today.
This is the second year both troops have had a hand in organizing and running the event which benefits Troop activities such as camping trips and other useful experiences through proceeds.
Troop 157G member Clara Kessinger says those opportunities can be very beneficial for scouts as they plot out their future career paths. Kessinger says this is especially true for herself as she has aspirations of one day joining the military.
She says many of the skills she has learned from different camping trips and outdoor experiences will aid her well in this endeavor.
Totals from the fundraiser will be announced at a later time.
