The Emporia State basketball teams celebrate history Saturday with their annual alumni games. The women will play at 10am followed by the men at 10:30. There will also be a reception honoring the 2010 Womens National Championship team.
That’s all before Emporia State hosts Missouri Southern.
Lady Hornets are in 3rd place in the MIAA standings. Coach Toby Wynn says one area they need to keep improving is the defense.
The Emporia State men have another big challenge, they will be facing the top scoring team in the MIAA. The Hornets have hit a rough spot having lost their last 3 games. Coach Craig Doty there has been some progress.
Game times at White Auditorium are 3pm for the women and 5pm for the men. The games will be broadcast on MIX 104.9.
The Kansas Jayhawks play at TCU. Tip-off is set for 11am. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM
Kansas State is at Iowa Stat with tip-off at 7pm. The game will be broadcast on Country 101.7FM.
