The Emporia State softball team opened their season at the Mankato Dome Tournament with 2 losses Friday.
They were out scored by Concordia St. Paul 6-4 in 8 innings.
Emporia State scored 4 runs in the first inning thanks to 3 singles and a sacrifice fly. Concordia would score 2 runs in the 4th inning. Tied the game in the 6th and scored 2 runs in the 8th. They were shutout in the 2nd game 3-0 by Minnesota State.
Today the Lady Hornets play Concordia St. Paul and Minnesota State again. Tomorrow they play Lewis.
