Northern Heights dominated Madison 62-27 in the girl’s game.
Northern Heights would jump out to an early lead in the first quarter and never trailed holding Madison to single digits in every quarter on their way to the win. Northern Heights was led in scoring by senior Khylee Massey with 16 points. Junior Caleigh Smart ended the evening with 12 points.
After suffering a disappointing 59-50 loss to Burlingame Tuesday, Northern Heights Head Coach Lanny Massey says this was a good “bounce back win” for his team.
Madison was led in scoring by freshman Yolaine Luthi with 14 points. Madison now falls to 3-13 as Northern Heights improves to 10-5.
In the boy’s game, Madison would overtake control early in the first quarter and never trail en-route to a 73-42 victory over the Northern Heights Wildcats.
Northern Heights would open the scoring in the first before a 10-0 run would give help give Madison 40-24 lead heading into the half. The Bulldogs would continue to build on their lead in the second including a 25-11 run in the third quarter to collect their 16 straight win of the season.
Madison was led by junior Chase Harrison with 25 points. The win marked a season-high in points for Madison as a whole, Coach Brett Dannels called it an unbelievable performance by his players.
Northern Heights was led in scoring by senior Cameron Heiman with 24 points.
With the win Madison improves to 16-0 on the season as Northern Heights drops to 13-2.
