VFW Post 1980 will be hosting a chili cookoff contest Sunday at 2 PM.
The contest costs $5 to enter, or if you’re just looking for a great meal it costs $5 to eat.
There will be lots of food and fun for everyone, with the band Aftermath performing live. Event organizer Deb Fuller says there will also be trophies given away to the top chili in three different categories.
Anyone who eats will be given the opportunity to vote for their favorite chili in each of these categories.
Fuller said she hopes this event will bolster community involvement.
