The Kansas Jayhawks won on Big Monday again, they out scored Texas 69-58.
After trailing at halftime 33-31 the Jayhawks turned it on in the second out scoring the Longhorns 38-25. Coach Bill Self said they were better defensively in the 2nd half.
Udoka Azubuike led the way with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
With his 8-of-10 performance from the field, Azubuike collected the 400th field goal of his collegiate career, a number which qualifies him for the NCAA’s all-time field goal percentage list. His career mark of 407-of-543 75.0% ranks him as the leader in NCAA DI history for field goal percentage.
Devon Dotson added 16 points and Marcus Garrett finished with 11 points.
Kansas plays at TCU Saturday.
The Jayhawks remain ranked number 3 in this weeks AP and Coaches College Basketball polls.
Baylor also remains the top ranked team. Gonzaga is ranked number 2. After Kansas its San Diego State and Louisville in the top 5 in both polls.
West Virginia is ranked 13th in the AP poll and 11th in the Coaches poll.
