There is good news for drivers in part of downtown Emporia.
The 10 block of East Sixth and West Sixth are now back to normal traffic flow after a water line installation project. The work isn’t completed yet, but it has passed the substantial completion phase so all the traffic cones in place since late November have been removed.
A 10-inch line was installed in the 10 block of West Sixth. Work caused several traffic shifts on Sixth Avenue and also blocked the south part of the Merchant Street intersection.
